Strong research capabilities in both qualitative and quantitative research with a focus on the application of findings to support policy and program development are supported by skills in developing innovative and cost-effective culturally appropriate research methodologies. This gives Judith Miralles & Associates an edge as recommendations translate into environmental change.

We have solid experience of research within the public sector context – research to meet the policy and service planning needs of government. Examples of the practical application of research findings are research into the information needs of 20 ethnic communities for the Department of Premier and Cabinet and a qualitative study into issues affecting young refugee women's access to health services for Women's Health in the North (Victoria). Both studies were supported by strategic recommendations on how to address deficiencies in information dissemination.

For research projects targeting ethnic communities, we work with a team of professional bilingual and bicultural interviewers and facilitators.

Fundamental to multicultural social issues research is the ability to access ethnic communities and the views of a range of community intermediaries and gatekeepers. Judith Miralles & Associates has a strong track record of working with culturally diverse groups. Simply put, we have solid and extensive networks amongst ethnic communities because we are seen as credible, knowledgeable and experienced.
